Palestinian National Council Speaker commends Moroccan King’s support for Al-Quds, Palestinian cause
Speaker of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, praised the role played by King Mohammed VI in supporting Al-Quds and the Palestinian cause.
This came during a visit he paid on Saturday to the headquarters of the Rabat-based Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency.
Fattouh highlighted the Kingdom’s honorable positions towards the Palestinian cause and the Sovereign’s solicitude towards Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, that are, he said, highly appreciated by the Palestinian leaders and people. He expressed confidence in Morocco’s contribution to support Gaza and lift the injustice suffered by the Palestinian people who remain attached to their land.
Palestinian ambassador to Morocco, Jamal Al-Shobaki, who was accompanying the National Council’s Speaker, for his part, recalled the emergency humanitarian aid sent by Morocco to Al-Quds and Gaza, on the instructions of the King, and welcomed the royal initiative to immediately allocate a hundred additional scholarships to students in Gaza, an operation that is taking place in coordination with the Palestinian Authority.
Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, managing director of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, stressed that the institution continues its work in the Holy City, under the direct supervision of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, providing all possible assistance to brotherly Palestinians and their institutions, in all circumstances.
