Rwanda poised to invest in tourism in Gabon
Rwanda Development Board (RDB) is mulling plans to invest in Gabon’s tourism sector in a bid to make travel easy for visitors of the two countries.
RDB chairman Francis Gatare led a delegation that met this week with General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, the transitional leader of the central African country.
Talks between the two sides reportedly touched on opportunities in tourism and investment promotion.
Discussions focused on bilateral relations and everything to do with business and investment promotion.
Both countries agreed to put in place investment programs that will enable investors from both sides to relate and do business easily. RDB Chairman’s visit comes few months after Oligui Nguema met in Kigali with President Paul Kagame as part of his continental tour to explain his seizure of power late August, after deposing longtime leader Omar Bongo Odimba.
Talks also covered South-South cooperation that seeks to develop close collaboration between the two countries in the tourism and business sectors, and to strengthen know-how between the countries of the continent, Gabon Review reports.
