Africa Collective to showcase continent’s opportunities during its week-long agenda in Davos
Africa Collective, an independent, business-driven network dedicated to creating a platform for exchange and action on African topics, will kick off a series of activities during the time of the World Economic Forum (WEF), which takes place January 15-19 in Davos, Switzerland.
Held in partnership with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, Africa Collective plans a series of activities during the week for key decision makers to discuss, find synergies and collaborate on the most important and current Africa-related topics. These activities will include three thematic breakfast roundtables, a networking cocktail, and a high-level closing luncheon. The 2024 presence in Davos marks an important milestone for Africa Collective in its mission to drive investment, foster engagement, and promote African business opportunities on a global stage.
As African and global leaders from government and various business sectors converge in Davos throughout the week, the initiative is poised to spark meaningful dialogues and collaborations that drive impact on the African continent. The series of activities will feature thematic engagement sessions on commodities, health and capital investments, which include a roundtable dedicated to the topic ‘Paving the Way: Commodity-led Industrialization on the African Continent’ and breakfast roundtable themed ‘Unleashing Potential: Africa’s Place in Attracting Future Allocation of Capital Pools’ in partnership with Standard Bank Group.
