Bogota-based Quipux SAS company sells its minority shares in Côte d’Ivoire

The Colombian designing and development company Quipux SAS has sold its minority shares in Abidjan-based Quipux Afrique SA, a company running integrated management center at the Transport ministry of the West African country. he company thus becomes a private company with 100% Ivorian capital.

The Colombia firm sold its shares to Côte d’Ivoire, which owns 35 per cent of share, the Ivorian government said in a statement Tuesday December 26.

Through the transaction, the Ivorian State represented by Société nationale de développement informatique (SNDI) sees its shares upping to 49 per cent while IBRAMEX, the main shareholder, sees its portion dwindle from 65 per cent to 51 per cent.

The statement did not provide details about the amount of the transaction. It is also unclear why Quipux SAS has pulled out from the market. The announcement came following a board of directors meeting on December 20.

Quipux Afrique SA was birthed in 2013. With the pullout of the Colombian technology company, Quipux Afrique SA becomes a full Ivorian controlled company.
