Ryanair plans to launch 11 domestic flights in Morocco in summer 2024 linking 9 cities, tourism ministry said.

The airline will serve the cities of Agadir, Errachidia, Essaouira, Fez, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Oujda, Tangier, and Tetouan, it said in a statement.

The decision is part of the low-cost airline’s plans to double its passengers to and from Morocco by 2027 to 10 million, the ministry said.

Part of the same vision, Ryanair will add 24 new destinations linking Morocco to Spain, Germany, France, the Netherlands, the UK, Italy, Portugal, and Sweden, it said.

The company will dedicate 14 aircrafts for Morocco domestic flights with a new hub in Tangier, adding to three existing ones in Agadir, Fez and Marrakech.

In another development, Jet Luxe, a private jet management company, revealed during the Dubai Air Show it is opening a new office in Morocco as part of its expansion strategy in the African market.

Chief Business Officer at Jet Luxe, Yassine el Moussi, highlighted, in this regard, the significance of the expansion into Morocco, considered a vital hub connecting Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

“We believe that Africa will have tremendous growth in the coming years, specifically Morocco being the official host of the 2030 FIFA World Cup,” commented el Moussi.

He stressed that Jet Luxe’s presence “in Morocco is just the beginning of our vision to redefine luxury travel in Africa.”

To reveal the services that it offers, the company hosted an exclusive event with more than 20 high-net-worth individuals, partnering with Aston Martin Casablanca and Air Ocean Maroc.

Jet Luxe’s goal is to redefine luxury travel in Africa and make it more accessible to a broader range of travelers.

In Morocco, the use of private jets is becoming more prevalent. Private jets arrive regularly at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca’s private aviation hub. Similarly, Jetmex manages the specific hub in Marrakech, according to Luxe Infinity Maroc.

Morocco plans to attract 17 million tourists by 2026, as it bolsters air and rail travel between cities ahead of the 2030 World Cup.
