UAE mulls plans to build scientific University in Mauritania to meet domestic labor market demands

United Arab Emirates (UAE) are planning to build a scientific University in Mauritania’s capital of Nouakchott to meet the demands of the local job market, the minister of Education of the Gulf country Ahmed Belhoul Al-Falasi has announced.

The future University will be located in the East of the capital and will stretch over 23,377m2.

The center will teach multiple subjects including information engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, metallurgy, oil and gas engineering. The future University will only accept 1.500 students.

The UAE official did not provide information regarding the investment nor when the project will commence. He said that the future project reflects the depth of the historic fraternal relations between the two countries.
