Cybersecurity: Morocco and UAE Agree to Exchange Expertise to Counter Common Challenges

Morocco and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to strengthen cooperation in cyber-security to reduce the risk of cyber-attack and protect online services and personal digital data from theft or damage.
An agreement was inked Thursday in Dubai on the sidelines of “GITEX GLOBAL-2023” Tech show between General Directorate of Information Systems Security of Morocco’s National Defence Administration and the UAE Cyber-security Council.
The agreement sets the framework of cooperation between the two countries in the field of cybersecurity to protect ongoing digital transformation as smartphones, laptops, tablets, computers and the internet have become a fundamental part of modern life.
Morocco and the UAE have agreed to set up a joint task-force on digital cooperation and exchange expertise in computing science & IT to counter common challenges in cyber-security.
From online banking and shopping, to email and social media, it has become today much more important than ever to prevent cyber-criminals from getting hold of personal accounts, data, and digital devices.
