President Alassane Ouattara appoints Robert Mambé Beugré new Prime Minister

Cote d’Ivoire’s leader Alassane Ouattara appointed Monday October 16 Robert Mambé Beugré (the governor of Abidjan Autonomous District) as the country’s new Premier in a replacement of Jérôme Patrick Achi who held the position for two years.
Ouattara signed the decree as he received the 71-year old man in his office Monday. “On Monday October 16, 2023, President Alassane Ouattara signed a decree appointing Mr. Robert Mambé Beugré, former Minister-Governor of the Autonomous District of Abidjan, as Prime Minister, Head of Government,” the office said in a statement.
“The President of the Republic has asked Prime Minister Robert Mambé Beugré to propose a new government as soon as possible,” the statement added.
Ouattara appointed Mambé Beugre governor of the Abidjan Autonomous District in 2011. The new Prime Minister had also held several official positions including minister in charge of Francophonie Games in 2016.
