Benin to build Financial district in capital Cotonou

Benin is set to launch the construction of its first Financial district planned to be home to financial institutions and key companies including State-run firms, “24 Au Benin” reports.

The first phase of the project is about the construction of one five-storey building used for offices, two seven-storey buildings also for offices. The first phase is set to start in the next coming weeks, the media notes, and will cost €47 million bar taxes.

The future district will be home to Banque Internationale pour l’Industrie et le Commerce [International Bank for Industry and Commerce], Caisse de Dépôts et Consignations du Bénin, Caisse Autonome d’Amortissement, the West African Development Bank (Benin plant), Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Immobilières, Société Immobilière et de l’Aménagement Urbain, regulatory agencies, Société béninoise d’Energie Electrique, Société Nationale des Eaux du Bénin and POSTE du Benin SA.
