South Korea keen to invest in several areas in Niger

South Korea is considering investing in multiple areas in Niger, chairman of the Asian country’s Private employers’ Council told President Mohamed Bazoum.
Chey Tae won “Anthony” who also doubles as Chairman of SK Inc., a holding and IT services company headquartered in Seoul, met with the Nigerien leader in Paris.
Both sides, according to the Office of the African leader, talked about possibilities for Korean investments in the West African country in several areas including energy, oil, mining, hydraulics and infrastructure.
In a separate report, Niger’s Premier Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou also hosted in capital Niamey South President’s envoy to Africa, Hong Jin-wook. The former South Korean diplomat to Egypt indicated that Seoul has extended an invitation to President Bazoum in view of deeply discussing relations between the two countries and the most practical way of translating them.
