Morocco Captures another Jihadist in Tangier

Moroccan authorities have foiled another terrorist plot with the arrest of an ISIS operative who was planning a terrorist attack to undermine the country’s stability and security.

The 28-year jihadist was nabbed Thursday by the Tangier police forces. He pledged allegiance to Daesh terror organization and started preparing his terrorist and criminal plan, says a press release issued by the country’s national security services.

The investigators are focusing on his targets, accomplices and connections with other terrorist sleeping or active cells.

His arrest comes few days after Moroccan police nabbed three extremists, aged between 31 and 40, in the Northern city of Tangier.

These arrests show the terrorist dangers threatening the North African Kingdom and the constant vigilance of the Moroccan security services to protect the public and national security by preventing, deterring and defeating terrorism.

Morocco’s counterterrorism strategy combines vigilant security measures, regional and international cooperation and terrorist counter-radicalization policies.
