Abidjan to host NewSpace Africa Conference April 25-28

The Ivorian capital Abidjan will host April 25-28 the NewSpace Africa Conference aiming at providing an avenue to build and maintain new relationship with stakeholders in the African space and satellite industry.

The four-day event emphasizes on building new partnerships and business collaborations to advance the economics of the industry, the organizers say.

It equally provides a platform for leaders in government, industry, academia and investors to build new business connections and relationships to advance the industry. The conference will bring together Heads of Africa space agencies and top executives, Leaders of National Space Agencies, the African Union Commission, National Ministries of Science and Technology and National Ministries of Communications, Policy Makers and other top Government officials, NewSpace Companies and Universities and Research institutions.

“Africa is home to over 270 NewSpace companies which continue to develop space technologies and offer space-enabled services to address market demands in various sectors, including telecommunications, defense, security, maritime, aviation, mining, agriculture, environment, development, education, and health,” the organizers add.

The measurable impact of these industry developments points to the continent’s potential for more remarkable exploits and opportunities in the space business and an overall increase in the quality of national economies, innovations, industries and sustainability on the continent.
