Nouakchott hosts Moroccan-Mauritanian Economic Forum by month’s end

Nouakchott will host the Moroccan-Mauritanian Economic Forum at the end of February.

The announcement was made during a meeting held on Wednesday in Nouakchott between Morocco’s Ambassador to Mauritania, Hamid Chabar and the President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, Mohamed Zine El Abidine Ould Cheikh.

The meeting focused on the preparations for this event which will see the participation of a large number of Moroccan companies. The two sides also discussed means of strengthening trade and economic exchanges between the two countries and consolidating the investment climate.

In this context, they emphasized the important role played by the employers’ organizations of the two countries in promoting trade through the signing of cooperation agreements, investment and exchange and organization of economic forums.

They welcomed the support of public authorities to the development of trade between the two countries and the efforts made to promote the private sector, overcome the various obstacles and strengthen investment opportunities.
