OIC: After “Little Mandela”, Algerian junta hires another puppet to attack Morocco’s territorial integrity

Moroccan lawmakers, who took part in the 17th meeting of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Conference convened in Algiers Jan.26-30, decried the remarks made by Speaker of Andean Parliament against Morocco’s territorial integrity.

In a protest letter addressed to the Secretary General of the OIC Parliamentary Union, Head of the Moroccan MP delegation Mohamed Ouzzine, denounced the hostile remarks made by Gloria Florez, Speaker of Andean Parliament, against Morocco’s territorial integrity as “interference in internal affairs of a Muslim member country by a representative of a parliamentary body not member of the OIC Parliamentary Union.”

Her invitation by the host country to attend the opening ceremony does not “entitle her to address issues that do not fall within the competence of the Organization or raise controversial subjects that could undermine the spirit of consensus of joint Islamic action”, said Mr. Ouzzine in the protest letter.

Furthermore, such anti-Moroccan remarks violate the OIC parliamentary Union principles and foundations, said the Moroccan delegation, affirming that “these practices should not be tolerated or ignored” by the Union.

The Moroccan MPs called on the General Secretariat to scrap Gloria’s speech from OIC Parliamentary Union records and take measures so that such breach does not occur again”.
