Religious Freedom: U.S. Ambassador Rashad Hussain on working visit to Morocco

U.S. Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Rashad Hussain is visiting Morocco for talks with local government officials and civil society leaders.

Mr. Rashad arrived Monday in the North African Kingdom wherein he will travel to Rabat and Casablanca, said the U.S. State Department in a press release.

The visit of the U.S. official to Morocco is part of an African regional tour that will take him also to The Gambia and Senegal.

On November 30, Ambassador Hussain will deliver keynote remarks at the 4th International Conference of Deaf Muslims in Banjul before meeting with civil society leaders, youth organizations, and members of faith communities.

On December 1, the U.S. Ambassador will travel to Dakar to discuss religious freedom with government officials, non-governmental organizations, and faith communities.
