Morocco’s Banks & National Police join forces against fraudsters

Morocco’s National Police, Central Bank, the National Data Protection Authority and the Banks Association agreed to use an authentication system to secure online banking services against fraudsters and Identity theft.

Developed by the security services, this system will enable bankers to verify the identity of clients wishing to access online banking services or in branch, while making their data more reliable.

According to the partners, the system aims to promote the digitalization of banking services and the development of technological innovations in the banking sector.

It enables actors in the banking sector to secure their operations against the risks of fraud and money laundering, while respecting the privacy and standards of personal data protection.
