French CMA CGM launches new Morocco-Spain-France maritime shuttle

The French shipping company CMA CGM announced that it intends to launch a new maritime Shuttle, from November 10, 2022, which will connect Morocco, France and Spain, on a weekly basis.

The French shipping company CMA CGM announced, in a press release, the launch of the new Morocco Shuttle service, departing from the port of Agadir.

This is a new weekly connection, which will make it possible to establish a regular maritime bridge between Agadir and Port-Vendres (France) for the export of fruits and vegetables grown in Morocco. A link that should reduce CO2 emissions by 75% in comparison with the usual delivery by goods transport truck.

According to the French company, the link will be served by two ships, of 1,100 TEU flying the Moroccan flag, equipped with 220 refrigerators powered by electrical outlets, of 45’RFH, indicates the press release from CMA CGM.

These two ships will operate a rotation, and will drop anchor in the ports of Agadir, Tanger-Med, Algeciras, Barcelona, Port-Vendres. The transit time from Agadir to Port-Vendres will last 3.5 days, according to the press release.
