75 people killed in recent flooding in Niger
The flooding that hit the West African country on August 28 killed at least 75 people, authorities said Sunday, News.Aniamey reports.
The Civil Protection Directorate, (DGPC), indicated Monday that 54 people of victims were killed by slumps while the 21 others were drawn.
The Maradi region recorded the highest toll with 30 dead while Zinder region reported 23.
12, 739 houses were flooded leaving 108,346 homeless.
Four days August 25-28, heavy rain fell on the Southern Sahara African country.
