Morocco-Togo: visas waiver for holders of ordinary passports
Morocco and Togo have decided to abolish visa requirements for their respective nationals, holders of ordinary passports.
An agreement on the visa waiver for the benefit of the Moroccans and the Togolese was signed Thursday in Dakhla following the inauguration of Togo’s Consulate General in the Saharan city.
The agreement was initialed by the Togolese and Moroccan foreign ministers, Robert Dussey and Nasser Bourita who had co-chaired the inauguration ceremony of the consular representation.
Togo’s consulate general in Dakhla confirms Lomé’s unwavering support for the Moroccanness of Sahara and its support for the territorial integrity and national unity of Morocco, said Robert Dussey, in a joint news conference with Bourita.
The opening of the consulate general in the Moroccan Sahara translates the will to consolidate bilateral relations, he said.
With the Togolese consular representation, the number of consulates opened in the southern provinces increased to 27 (15 in Dakhla and 12 in Laayoune).
