The Moroccan women’s soccer team has qualified for the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations -WAFCON (Morocco-2022) after beating its counterpart from Botswana (2-1) Wednesday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex in Rabat.

Thanks to this victory, Morocco, which dominated the match during the first and second halves, secures for the first time in its history its ticket to the World Cup scheduled in Australia and New Zealand in 2023.

The opening goal was scored by Sanaâ Mssoudy in the 3rd minute of the game, before Keitumetse Dithebe scored the equalizer for Botswana in the 7th minute.

Yasmin Mrabet extended the lead for Morocco in the 59th minute.
