Coronavirus: intensive care cases drop to 3% in Morocco – Health Ministry

Morocco registers a volatility in the number of cases which rose on Saturday to 4729 of whom 3% are receiving medical care in intensive care units, head of Morocco’s counter pandemic department, Mohamed EL Youbi said.

Total deaths slowed to 173 while recoveries jumped to 1256 as Moroccan medics adapt to the chloroquine-based treatment, which showed promising results so far according to the health ministry.

The number of contact cases monitored for symptoms by the ministry increased to 25884 due to hotspots in some factories and families.

The virus mortality rate in Morocco stood at 3.7% of total cases while the recovery rate improved to 26.6%.
