El Alamy, who was speaking to 2M tv channel, said that logistics issues are being addressed to ensure the availability of face masks in shops and pharmacies.
He said masks are produced in 17 factories in Morocco and priority is given to supply Moroccan citizens.
However, El Alamy explained that these face masks are disposable after three to four hours of use, hence the need for washable and reusable masks.
For that purpose, 17 other factories have been prepared to produce reusable masks with the target of 1 million units daily, El Alamy said.
As for face shields, Morocco makes 75,000 daily and aims to increase that number to 125,000, he said.
