UAE Developer unveils luxury complex in Rabat, its largest project in Africa

Abu Dhabi-based urban developer IMKAN has unveiled a luxury complex in Rabat: Le Carousel. This project, IMKAN’s largest in Africa is a mixed-use complex located on the Rabat Corniche and will be completed in about 5 years.

Just about 15 minutes from downtown and the motorway, this project covers about 10.5 hectares of which 50% is devoted to green spaces and walkways.

The oceanfront project requiring $155 Million (1.5 billion DH) will include a five-star hotel with 123 rooms, conference rooms, a residential complex covering about 30% of the area, and a 33,000 square meter shopping mall with a capacity of 120 units, according to Ahmed Magdy Aref, Country Manager of IMKAN Morocco.

The residential complex, called “Le Phare du Carrousel,” will be made up of luxury apartments and penthouses.

The project, designed by international and national architectural firms, will create around 1,100 direct and indirect jobs, the developer said.
