Morocco Wins 4 Medals in International Inventions Show in Germany

Moroccan inventors and start-ups won 4 medals, including one gold, at the International Trade Fair for Ideas, Inventions and New Products (iENA) held in Nuremberg (Germany) Oct.31-Nov.3 with the participation of 800 inventors.

The Moroccans were rewarded for their distinguished contributions made in materials sciences & engineering, agricultural technology, energy and smart-cities solutions.
The gold medal was won by startup PilliotY for its “Metronic-CBH,” a product that analyzes the quality of cables, aeronautical and space harnesses during their production.

The “Sens-Things” project developed by researchers of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Benguerir (UM6P) was also awarded medal for its innovative and advanced ideas.

“Agriscan”, an olive oil quality analyzer devised by Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research and the intelligent 3D camera made by startup Metatechnology also gained medals at this international show seeking to encourage inventions and innovations, the driving force for the long-term success of companies and drivers of the growth of tomorrow.

Around 800 inventions from all over the world participated in this year’s iENA.

The iENA provides support in all stages of development, from the initial idea and creation of a prototype through to market launch, marketing and company formation. Key partners of the iENA include the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, the Association of German Engineers (VDI) as well as the German Inventors’ Association (DEV) and other national and international inventors’ associations.
