Morocco to Prepare Sixth World Cup Bid

Morocco to Prepare Sixth World Cup Bid

Unrelenting, Morocco will submit a sixth bid to host the World Cup after losing to the North American bid, which won the right to host the 2026 edition.

King Mohammed VI gave his Royal instructions to submit the 2030 bid, Sports Minister Rachid Talbi Alami said.

He also said that Morocco will deliver the infrastructure projects included in the 2026 bid.

Morocco’s bid is expected to run against that of Uruguay, which hosted the games 100 years ago.

The UK may also submit its bid as former Scottish Football Association chief Stewart Regan told the BBC that an English-led home nations bid is “definitely on the radar.”
