China National Day: Morocco’s King Voices Commitment to Ambitious Joint Projects & Attachment to Sovereignty & Territorial Integrity of States

King Mohammed VI has extended his warmest congratulations to President of China Xi Jinping on the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China on October 1.

In his congratulatory message, the King offered his best wishes to President Xi for good health and happiness, and to the Chinese people for further progress and prosperity.

The Monarch said he is proud of the strong friendship & fruitful cooperation ties between Morocco and China, the steady progress of bilateral relations and shared commitment to strengthening trust, solidarity, and mutual respect that “we share.”

“The significant achievements accomplished since establishing the strategic partnership between our countries in 2016 clearly attest to our common ambition and our unflinching resolve to take our partnership to new heights to serve our people’s best interest while reinforcing our South-South cooperation model,” said the King.

He also expressed his determination to continue working together with the Chinese President to give strong impetus to bilateral relations and to reinforce the strategic and human dimensions, thereby making Moroccan-Chinese friendship a key driver of development and prosperity.

Given its strategic location as a gateway to the African continent and its approach to development based on openness and fruitful partnerships, Morocco remains committed to working with China to develop ambitious joint projects grounded in economic integration, the transfer of expertise, the promotion of innovation, and the development of human resources, said the King.

The Sovereign reaffirmed commitment to continue strengthening coordination and consultation between the two countries on various issues of common concern, thereby fulfilling the aspirations of both peoples, contributing to promoting peace, security and shared development, and safeguarding the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of States.
