CHAN-2024: Morocco knocks out Tanzania to reach semi-finals

Morocco’s national football team of local talents defeated Tanzania 1-0 to advance to the semi-finals of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 in a match played Friday in Dar Es Salaam.

The Moroccan goal was scored by striker Oussama Lamlaoui in the 65th minute in fully packed Benjamin Mkapa Stadium. After their semi-final match scheduled in Kampala, the Atlas Lions will face either Uganda or Senegal.

CHAN 2024 has been posted to 2025. It is co-organized by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Morocco is two-time winner (2018/2020) of this African tournament dedicated to domestic-based players.
