Morocco partners with Brazilian Embraer to develop aerospace projects
Moroccan industry and investment departments signed an agreement with Brazilian aerospace giant Embraer to develop joint projects in the commercial and defense as well as urban aviation.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the opening of the Marrakech Air Show which brings together 200 exhibitors from different aerospace industries as well as 100 delegations from some 80 countries.
Under the agreement, Embraer will also create a maintenance site.
The total impact of the agreement amounts to 300 million dollars by 2030 and 1 billion dollars by 2035, the industry ministry said in a statement.
Some 147 aerospace plants are operating in Morocco supplying global giants such as Boeing, Safran and Airbus.
