Radisson to operate 25 hotels in Morocco by 2030

The US Radisson hotel group plans to increase the hotels it operates in Morocco to 25 by 2030 to tap into a growing tourist market.

The group plans to reinforce its presence in Casablanca and Marrakech as well as to open new hotels in Rabat, Tangier, Agadir, and Fez, said Africa director at Radisson Erwan Garnier in a statement.

The cities are poised to attract scores of tourists when Morocco hosts the World Cup in 2030, he said.

Morocco destination is also gaining popularity globally with a record 14.5 million tourists last year, a performance that is set to improve in the upcoming years in view of massive investments to boost arrivals, he said.

Radisson, which operates 1320 hotels in 90 countries, has 11 hotels in Morocco so far.

Morocco plans to attract 17.5 million tourists by 2026, as it bolsters air and rail travel between cities ahead of the 2030 World Cup.
