In a joint statement issued at the end of the commission’s works, Angola praised the leadership of King Mohammed VI on the issue of migration at the African and international levels and lauded Morocco’s vision of an emerging, stable, and prosperous Africa, while Morocco hailed the Angolan President, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, in his capacity as the African Union’s designated champion of peace and reconciliation in Africa.

The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on regional and international issues of common interest, and expressed their shared desire to contribute to the development of the African continent while preserving peace and security.
