Morocco’s Akwa Africa to acquire Totalenergies business in Mauritania

Akwa Africa, a subsidiary of Moroccan Akwa group, is set to acquire Total Energies fuel distribution subsidiary in Mauritania, the competition council said.

The council said it was informed about the sale without offering details on the transaction which Financial Afric said would amount to 185 million dollars.

Akwa Africa was established to help the group expand into the fuel business in Africa.

Akwa Group is already Morocco’s market leader in oil and gas importation, storage and distribution.
