Saudi Arabia donates to Tunisia medical aid including 40 tons of liquid oxygen to combat pandemic

Saudi Arabia’s aid agency, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), delivered Wednesday to Tunisia a shipment of aid to Tunisia, including 40 tons of liquid oxygen, to back up the medical sector of the North African country in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The shipment according to the Tunisian Health minister Ali Mrabet comes at a critical time when the world is preparing for a new health crisis with the spread of the omicron variant of the virus, Arab News reports.
Abdelaziz Bin Ali Sakr, the Saudi envoy to Tunisia indicated that the Gulf country is planning to donate 200 tons of liquid oxygen. The North African country reported on November 138 new cases of coronavirus and 3 deaths related to the pandemic.
The new accounts bring the infections toll to 717,710 since the first case for reported last year in February. The death on other hand, has hit 25,376.
