Nigeria: at least 30 civilians killed, many kidnapped by jihadists

At least 30 people were killed and many women and children were abducted Sunday evening by the Islamic State Group in West Africa (ISWAP), near a village close to the capital of Borno State, Maiduguri.

The terrorists also burned around 30 vehicles, according to a statement from the local government.

Despite the presence of African and foreign security forces, there is a resurgence of deadly attacks perpetrated by different Islamist and criminal groups in the Sahel and Lake Chad regions.
