Algeria: Children, ambassadors of the future

algeria-chikdrenThe curtains of the 6th edition of the International Children’s Exposition (SIE 2013) have been raised by the Secretary of State to the Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Belkacem Mellah at the Pins Maritimes Exhibition Centre of Algiers. This year’s edition is being held under the theme “My Algeria, My Future.”
During his opening remarks, Mellah said that the government has given “a particular interest” to associations dedicated to children and focused on contributing towards the development of the child and the promotion of his rights.
Companies active in fields related to the diverse day to day affairs of a child are taking part in the week long exposition. The organizers have registered more than 20 participating companies. These companies vary from those concentrating on education, training, sports, medicines, cosmetics, food, games, toys, decoration and culture.
Visuel Orbite is the brain behind the event. It stated that the exposition will give the companies the opportunity to exchange and interact with their customers. The week long exposition will make the Pins Maritimes Exhibition Centre of Algiers a business centre and a place where people will come to discover new ideas with regards to the innovative ideas of the companies.
On the sidelines, conferences, workshops malignant, games, contests and other activities will be held in connection with the theme. One of the highlights of this year’s edition is the drawing contest. Children will be asked to draw according to their imagination and creativity what a prosperous Algeria will be like in the future. The organizers believe that such an event can have a great impact on Algeria’s future because great and beautiful things can be derived from the imagination of children who are the best ambassadors of an optimistic future for the country.
