Morocco’s King Renews Commitment to Palestinian People’s Legitimate Rights

King Mohammed VI of Morocco has reiterated his full commitment and his frank support for the lofty cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people.
This came during a phone conversation the King had with President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday.

King Mohammed enquired about the health of the Palestinian leader and wished him prompt recovery, following the ear surgery he had underwent, a statement by the royal office said.

This phone call was also an occasion for the sovereign, in his capacity as Chairman of Al Quds Committee, to reiterate his full commitment and his frank support for the lofty cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, the statement said.

President Mahmoud Abbas, 82, had an ear surgery last week and was admitted to hospital for medical tests on Sunday.

His doctors however said Monday that the Palestinian leader was suffering from a lung infection and could remain in hospital for several days.
