Morocco’s King Condemns Missile Strikes against Saudi Arabia as “Despicable Criminal Aggression”

King Mohammed VI has condemned the missile strikes against Saudi Arabia that were fired from Yemeni territory, as a “despicable criminal aggression”.

In a message to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King Mohammed VI expressed his “deep sorrow” and “great indignation” and his outright solidarity with the brotherly Saudi people.

In this message, the Sovereign condemned, in his personal name and on behalf of the Moroccan people, this despicable criminal aggression, and reaffirmed Morocco’s outright solidarity with the brotherly Saudi people. He also voiced Morocco’s unwavering support for the steps and measures undertaken by King Salman to preserve the security of his brotherly Kingdom and face up any threat to peace and stability in the region.

The Yemen-based Houthis have launched in the night from Sunday to Monday seven ballistic missiles towards Saudi Arabia that were intercepted by the Saudi Royal Air Defense Forces.

Three of the missiles were directed at Riyadh, while the four others were fired at the southern Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Najran and Jazan, according to the official news agency SPA.
