Morocco Arrests Four Terrorist Suspects

Moroccan security services arrested four terror suspects in the region of Souss-Massa, two of them were students at the Islamic Studies School.

The suspects were arrested by Morocco’s counter-terrorism agency, the Central Bureau for Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) in the cities of Inezgane, Ait Melloul and Chtouka-Ait Baha.

In 2017, the BCIJ busted nine terror cells and arrested 189 extremists and 20 returning foreign fighters.

The total number of terrorist cells dismantled in Morocco since the creation of the BCIJ in 2015 amounted to 49 cells plotting to carry out attacks across the Kingdom.
