Thanks to its numerous attractions, bustling markets, typical architecture and culinary art as well as mild weather, Marrakech topped the list of best holiday destinations for UK tourists in May 2017 said a survey by British paper, The Mirror.
“Jemaa el-Fnaa is a great place to start, as the square is full of stalls carrying an impressive array of trinkets which you can haggle over with vendors. If the high-energy atmosphere proves too much, we recommend heading to the much more tranquil Jardin Majorelle and taking in the breathtaking gardens,” the Mirror highlighted as it enumerates the particular civilizational aspect of Marrakech.
The paper notes that in May, a popular month for those wanting to escape and get a bit of sunshine, temperatures begin to rise although they tend to stay around 21C, which makes it ideal for exploring Marrakech world-famous markets.
“The flight to Marrakech from the UK is just under four hours, making it an ideal city break over a long weekend,” says the Mirror, noting that the UK and Morocco are linked by airlines: Easyjet, Ryanair and British airways in addition to Royal Air Maroc.
The ranking featured in the Mirror article on best May holiday destinations for British tourists shows that Marrakech is coming ahead of popular destinations such as Cyprus, Malta and Bulgaria.
